Austin City Limits - March 2001 Nikon F2 w/180mm Nikkor lens
US 50, which crosses the heart of Nevada, is known as America's loneliest road. In nearly 400 miles, it crosses nine mountain ranges, and goes through four small towns. The title is a play on words, because Austin, which is on the far side on the mountain range in the picture, is still fifty miles away. It is wonderfully empty country. Not visible on the web is a semi rounding the turn in the far distance.
