Abbey of Gethsemani, Morning sky from the front lawn - August 2004 Nikon F2 w/35mmPC Nikkor
This image has a deep grip on me. The title is a reference to Maxfield Parrish, a respected painter of the mid-20th Century. It was taken just after Lauds on a morning when thundershowers were passing through. The sun isn't visible on the ground yet, but it is lighting the passing clouds, while the dark sky reveals a beautiful crescent moon. It was a time to feel at one with all creation.
