UVA - Charlottesville Virginia - August 1999 Nikon F2 w/Nikkor 35mmPC I went to Charlottesville specifically for the Rotunda. I found it to be so impressive on its own merits, that after my usual walkaround, I set up for the "blueprint" shot that is presented here. I saw (and recorded) several other possibilities, but for now this best represents "Thomas Jefferson, architect" for me. It also helped to wait until late afternoon for the contrast caused by the longer shadows. |
