Pleasant Hill Kentucky - August 1995 Nikon F2 w/Nikkor 55mm
I've been to Pleasant Hill several times, but haven't been able to "see." Everything I inspect quickly turns into a "postcard" shot....except for the day I was leaving and noticed the afternoon sun glowing on the gate. It was so simple, and so right. Once the background buildings were eliminated, it was pretty routine. By the way,...if you've never tried to take pictures at sunrise/sunset, be ready! The light moves out of position with frightening speed. For the Shaker Gate, I had about ten minutes.
