Abbey of Gethsemani, Trappist KY - August 2004 Nikon F2 w/180mm Nikkor I wish I could take the credit for this image, but mostly I was lucky. I checked the crosses several times when at the Abbey looking for a cue to composition, and only on this day did the sun light the face of the cross in the upper right (with the dark wall behind!) while leaving the other crosses in relative shadow. Sometimes being there (and being observant) is enough. |
