Grant County Kentucky - March 1997 Nikon F2 w/Nikkor 35mmPC The old road from Elliston follows Eagle Creek for some distance before quickly ascending a steep hill and following the hilltop into Dry Ridge. From below, the tree is very prominent, and I took photos several times trying to do it justice. My plan was to show it as a single lonely object standing tall against nature. The results didn't reflect the intention. So, I tried it again, this time with one of my students, looking for a human reflection of what I felt about the tree. Not only is the feeling there now, but the image has a strong focal point. |
